This tradition is prevalent in many parts of the world, particularly in South Asia, including India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.

No doubt it was created to provide some support to a bride after her marriage. But now a days it became a very serious effective norm in our society. It becames an expectation and status symbol.

Consequently, most of the bride's family got in debts. They get suffer from anxiety, depression. Few of them commit suicide under the pressure of dowry.

Not only the bride's family members but also the bride herself suffers from inferiority complex mindset and often victims in her in-laws house.

Aother Outlook of Dowry In Modern Era:

It's very normal to say that dowry is very impactful on the side of a bride.

But, it's also fact in modern era grooms are also victimized in this malpractice in another way like a bride's family often demands a wealthy groom with luxurious house, cars, bank balance etc.

Consequently, a boy often suffers anxiety for being so called capable groom.

Last but not the least, this malpractice has lots of impracticatical and irrational attitude towards our society.

Despite legal interventions and changing mindsets, eradicating dowry requires continuous efforts through education, awareness, and societal reform.

Empowering women, promoting gender equality, and strict enforcement of laws are critical to ending this practice.
