"Reading maketh a full man; conference a ready man; and writing an exact man." quoted by Francis Bacon, a renowned English philosopher, essayist, and statesman.
Through this line he intensified the power of reading. From the dawn of civilization we have been improving ourselves by gaining knowledge and reading and observing played a vital role in making us so developed.
There is no doubt that books help us a lot acquiring knowledge about anything. Reading is the only thing that gives us pleasure, ornament and ability. Books illumine our paths of glory and we get enriched by reading books. Also, a book can be a good friend of us that neither leaves nor breaks promises to us.
Yet, there must be cautious in reading books as all the books are not necessary for us. In Bacon's word "Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be chewed and digested."
So, we should consider proper books that will make us happy and able.
Last but not least, books are very essential to read as we come to know the psychology and mindset of the writer as well as customs and cultures of that particular time.
